The familiar sound of home

Parrot fish munching on coral, sea urchins and fish all make sounds which can be heard underwater. The 'frying' sound is produced by small shrimp who use their pincers to produce a 'pop' powerful enough to kill small fish. Scientists have found that the healthiest reefs produce the most noise, and fish can use this sound to find their way home.
